A 9 year old boy shares his testimony of the Book of Mormon.
The Book of Mormon IS the word of God. It records a fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we recognize this book to be sacred. For many of us, it brings great peace and hope in troubling times.
After much thought and research, I’ve come to the conclusion that when we fear, we reject God’s plan. His plan for us is perfect. Do we believe that? If we do, why would we fear? Jesus Christ understands all our pain, sorrow, heartache, despair, and yes, even fear.
Jesus Christ did, in fact, come to earth as a babe. As He grew, He went about His father’s business. He showed His infinite love as He ministered to those in need. He bled and suffered in Gethsemane for each of us. He was tortured and crucified, having done NO wrong. And, triumphantly, He broke the shackles of death and was resurrected.
Truth, in its purest form, is all around us. It can be hard to see, hard to understand, because the chaos of the world can drown it out. But it’s there.
In the Book of Mormon, we are taught to believe in God, to worship Christ, to be kind to our neighbors, to have hope in the atonement, to be grateful for our blessings, to love those who hurt us, and the list goes on and on. A true believer of the words of the Book of Mormon can only yield goodness.
